I love old Roland gear.  My first synth was a Roland SH-2, so when I found out Roland also made a reverb in the mid-1980s, I had to get the SRV-2000.  All the old bits, I gotta hear em.   It has 16-bit converters, 28-bit internal math and a deep set of parameters: an equalizer, early reflections, delay, gated non-linear reverb and many room, hall and plate sizes :O

But, it’s all set with these silly little cryptic black push-buttons, like everything +- 10 years from the time ugh, so I made this SRV-2000 controller, so we can see and set all the juicy parameters from one screen

What you can set with the SRV-2000 controller

  • All 15 algorithms: the Room programs R0.3 to R37, the Hall programs H15 to H37, and the plates P-A and P-B.
  • Pre-delay from 0 to 120, reverb time, HF damping and output.
  • Non-linear time, gate from 10 to 450, and pre-delay. A graph shows the gated decay.
  • The EQ before the reverb: low shelf, mid and high bells, gain from -24 to +12, and mid and high Q. One graph shows the curve.
  • The five Further controls: RD, A, AT, ED and ER level.
  • Load and store programs 1 to 32, and send program changes.
  • A library on your computer with search, tags, favorites, import, export and notes.

Before you download

The controller sends settings to the SRV-2000. It does not read them back, so the screen shows what you sent, not what the unit holds.  This is not a limitation of my code,   but rather, the SRV-2000 does not send state/midi back out, lol 🙁

Some VST3 hosts do not pass SysEx. If yours does not, use the standalone app or the plug-in’s direct MIDI output.
